Exec Boards Summary - Day 1:

We started things off right this morning with Welcome Briefings from Brig Gen Woodward, the C/Patko (AAS/CC) and Nick Carrigan, the SW President. AAS and SW split off soon after to start going over SW Region statuses and National Goals, respectively.

Ms. Mary Ann Thompson with her daughter, TBD

During our second joint business session, Ms. Mary Ann Thompson visited to recount her experiences as a founding member of Angel Flight, Silver Wings’ predecessor. Following that was Ms. Molly Mae Potter, newest member of our Board of Trustees, giving us a wonderful Pitch Deck on how we can convince members to join AAS and SW for future recruiting events. During this session Ms. Summer Folson was presented an award of appreciation by Brig Gen Woodward for her outstanding dedication to assisting the AFA and AAS-SW. Congrats!

On the Silver Wings side of the house, we went over “Leaving Your Legacy as an RP”, more region status briefs, and recruiting information from our SW/DO, Michaela Mesiti. Meanwhile, AAS went over the Nat HQ budget, Registration Prep for the Fall, and began oral status reports for the AAS regions. Pictured on the left are Josh Cassem, Region 6 President, and Michaela Mesiti, SW National Developmental Officer, brainstorming ideas about elevator pitches for fundraising efforts this year.

And then there were headshots! Best headshot of the day most likely went to Emily, our SW National Business Chair.

Finally, we ended our day participating in a Q&A session with our wonderful NACs, and did a quick re-cap on all the resolutions that were passed during CHEESECON 2019 in Milwaukee, WI.  Thus ended a wonderful first day at National Harbor.
