National Projects

Joint National Project

Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness

The Joint National Project is voted on by both Silver Wings and Arnold Air Society every year at the National Conclave. It provides an opportunity for members of AAS and SW to come together and support their communities through a unified national effort. This year’s JNP focuses on suicide prevention and mental health awareness, emphasizing support for veterans, service members, and individuals who may be struggling with mental health challenges.

There are many ways for members to get involved with the JNP. Activities may be coordinated through the Silver Wings National Activities Officer and the Arnold Air Society National Director of Operations, as well as through initiatives created within local communities. Squadrons and chapters can support the project by hosting suicide prevention awareness events, partnering with organizations that promote mental health resources, and helping educate others about support systems such as crisis hotlines and counseling services. Through these efforts, members of AAS and SW can work together to reduce stigma, promote awareness, and make a meaningful impact in suicide prevention.

Signature National Project

Supporting Accessibility and Disability

The Signature National Project is a project selected by the assembly of Silver Wings members every 3-5 years. The current SNP is supporting accessibility and disability. This project is a way to not only get service hours and help our communities but also to grow our identity as civilian supporters of our community.
